Since December 2016, the famous Marzipan and chocolates of J.G. NIEDEREGGER GmbH & Co. KG in Luebeck are produced with highly efficient cogeneration. The compact CHP unit GG 402 H has been installed by the municipal utilities company Stadtwerke Luebeck because an enlargement of the production site provided the chance to re-design the energy supply with improved efficiency. Since May 2017 it additionally provides cooling for the production. The necessary machinery (CHP unit, absorption chiller, cooler) were set up in flexible containers.
