On two sites of the 30.000 students large Freie Universität (Free University or FU) Berlin, three SOKRATHERM CHP units started operation in early 2013 to reduce the CO2 emissions: Two compact CHP units type GG 140 at the veterinary medicine site in Dueppel and one compact CHP unit type GG 237 at the geological sciences site in Lankwitz.
